In der Tradition großer Oratorien widmet sich die Kantate „Tochter Zion“ der bedeutsamen Geschichte der biblischen Stadt Jerusalem als dem „Friedensort, der vom Himmel auf die Erde kommt“. Die zeitgenössische Musiksprache ist melodisch und bietet engagierten Chören, unter Mitwirkung eines einstimmigen Kinderchors die Möglichkeit, ein neues und ansprechendes Konzertprogramm zu gestalten.
In the tradition of great oratorios, the work is dedicated to the significant history of the biblical city of Jerusalem as the ‘place of peace that comes from heaven to earth’. The contemporary musical language is melodic and offers committed choirs, with the participation of a unison children's choir, the opportunity to create a new and appealing concert programme.
